DEPARTMENT of Health investigators have not identified any COVID-19 exposure sites within the Wimmera and Grampians after a team of Sydney removalists infected with the virus travelled from Melbourne to Adelaide.

There was community concern in Horsham, a popular stopping point halfway between the two capital cities, but investigators have not come up with exposure sites.
However a popular stopping point for Wimmera and Grampians residents on their way back from Melbourne, the Western Highway McDonalds and Mobil service station at Ballan has been identified as a Tier 1 exposure site.
Western Victoria health leaders said the latest brush with the virus highlighted the need for residents to not be complacent.
East Grampians Health Service chief executive Andrew Freeman has issued an alert to residents who may have visited the Ballan Mobil Service Station on Thursday July 7 or know of anyone who visited the site.

"You may be a close contact of a person with COVID if you travelled on the Western Freeway (westbound) from the direction of Melbourne/Melton towards Ballarat and stopped at the Ballan Mobil Service Station between 5-7pm for any reason on July 7, or, if you got McDonalds or any food/goods delivered from this station," Mr Freeman said.

Mr Freeman explained if a person have answered yes to either of these questions they must go home and isolate and importantly, get a COVID-19 test.

"Only leave home to get your test - do not stop anywhere along the way," he said.
"Stay home until you are contacted by the Grampians Public Health Unit
"If you need to make a booking for a COVID swab test at East Grampians Health Service, please phone 5352 9532."
Mr Freeman expressed concern that the community cannot be complacent.
"Even if you haven't visited this site, please be vigilant, as we don't know how far this outbreak could possibly have spread, and if you show any symptoms, no matter how mild, please get tested as soon as possible," he said.
