The Cats' side is set to include Horsham's Rene Caris and former Ararat Storm player Georgia Clarke, assuming the latter pulls up alright from some quad and back soreness. Both players are AFLW listed and both have played an integral part in the Cats' state league campaign.
The Cats earned their grand final berth with an impressive 28-point victory over the Bombers in the preliminary final last weekend.
Scores were locked at 14-all at half time, before the Cats ran away with four goals to the Bombers' zero in the second half.
MORE NEWS:
Clarke was one of the Cats' best, kicking a game-high three goals. She now sits second on the competition goalkicking charts with 19 majors from 14 games.
Speaking to ACM Clarke said she is "stoked" to be playing in the decider.
"it's been a little while since I've been in a footy grand final," she said.
"I've never been in a women's footy grand final so it's really exciting times. I'm super keen."
The 21-year-old forward was modest when reflecting on her preliminary final effort.
"I'm happy to contribute where I can," she said.
"As a forward that's something (kicking goals) that I like to do for my team.
"I'm happy when I can contribute and hit the scoreboard."
Caris who played a career-high five games for the Cats AFLW team this year, has featured for the VFLW side nine times this season, including last weekend's preliminary final. She has featured in the best on multiple occasions.
OTHER NEWS:
Clarke was full of praise for her teammate's impact.
She (Rene) has been sharing a few of the ruck duties with a few other rucks coming in as well," she said.
"She's come down forward a bit more and she's doing awesome down forward.
"Its good to not be the only tall, to be able to share that, so I can play a bit more as a running forward as well."
Collingwood will enter the grand final as favourites after going the whole season undefeated including their three encounters with the Cats.
"We've played them three times now and got beaten three times, so hopefully this time we know what they do and know their brand of footy a bit better," Clarke said.
"With our scoring it's just about being really focused on hitting our targets. They've got some great defenders that can really shutdown players and take them out of the game.
"I think just really being precise with our kicking we can be really dangerous and hit the scoreboard."
Horsham's Sophie Alexander who played in this year's AFLW preliminary final for the Magpies, has also featured three times this season for the VFLW Pies. However she hasn't appeared at the level since May 8, allowing for non-AFLW-listed players to gain experience.
The VFLW grand final takes place at 1:15pm this Sunday August 8 at ETU Stadium.
