It's just another spanner in the works for this years cohort of Year 12 students.
The decision came on Tuesday, August 10 due to the ongoing community transmission still occurring in metropolitan Melbourne.
The GAT was meant to go ahead on August 12, having being postponed from the July 29 date.
Marian College acting principal Matthew Summers said he strongly believed in the staff and students ability to adapt.
"During these challenging times we have to adapt to changes that occur on a daily basis," he said.

"Our students have been informed that a new GAT date will be set and all safety precautions will be taken to ensure that they can participate in a COVID-19 safe setting."
Mr Summers was confident that despite the upheaval, the VCE students would have the support they needed.
"The only impact of a date change is adding to an already unsettled VCE for all students, not only ours," he said.
"The school will continue to support them as we have done over their entire journey through Marian."
At this stage, a new date for the GAT had not be determined but will be announced soon.
The Victorian Minister for Education James Merlino said the Department of Education and Training and the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) will support schools in the coming weeks to make appropriate COVIDSafe plans to hold the GAT.
"Victorian students have done an amazing job adapting to another year of disruptions - but we can't risk another outbreak in a school, so we're rescheduling the GAT to keep every school community across Victoria safe," he said.
"Whether it's special consideration for every student in Year 12, or extra mental health and tutoring support in schools, we want any student who is struggling to know that we're here to support them all the way."
