The EGHS clinic has safely delivered over six thousand doses of vaccine, while Ararat Medical Centre has administered over 4500 doses, and both are continuing to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to the community.
"The fantastic uptake has seen a majority of the eligible population in the community fully vaccinated," East Grampians Health Service chief executive Andrew Freeman said.
The eligibility criteria has recently been expanded and the current eligibility for state run vaccination clinics (EGHS) is determined by the Victorian Government.

The Pfizer vaccine is now available for all adults aged 40-59, Priority Groups (please phone 1800 675 398 or 5352 9363 to find out current eligibility criteria and age range - criteria is subject to change) as well as 12-18 year olds with a medical condition.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is available for those aged 60 plus and not in a priority group, as well as those aged 18 - 39 years with informed consent.
