Beaumont, a six-year-old male Brindle Staffy, Peppi, a seven-year-old male Jack Russel Terrier along with Torty, a two-year-old tortoiseshell female cat, are looking for their fur-ever homes.
Ararat Rural City CEO Dr Tim Harrison said changes in people's circumstances have seen more four-legged friends being surrendered at the Ararat pound.
"Council's community safety officers work closely with rescue groups to ensure surrendered pets can find a safe, suitable and loving home," Dr Harrison said.
"As a no-kill pound, we are committed to animal welfare and do our best to give our four-legged friends a second chance at life.

"Council offers a reasonable adoption fee of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats which covers the cost of desexing, initial vaccinations, microchipping.
"Get in touch with our community safety officers if you're looking to adopt or would like to arrange a meet-and-greet with one of the animals."
