The theme for Children's Week 2021 (October 24 - 31) is children have the right to choose their friends and safely connect with others.
CAFS chief executive Wendy Sturgess said National Children's Week helps shed light on children related issues in the community.
"We partner with our community to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, young people and families," she said.
"Our organisational vision is wellbeing, respect and safety for all children and families.
"National Children's Week offers us the opportunity to amplify the message about the rights of children".
MORE NEWS:
According to CAFS, children and young people find themselves in tough family situations and these have been exacerbated due to ongoing social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
CAFS help support children who are suffering from child abuse, neglect and family relationship problems.
The organisation's support programs, Foster and Kinship Care programs help bridge the gap in these children's lives and aim to keep children engaged in school and connected to a network of support in the wider community.
CAFS is an independent community service organisation with no religious affiliation and has been running for over 156 years. The organisation's programs are available to anyone who needs assistance.
